Directional Boring

Directional Boring

Pipes, Cables, Conduits, and more

Install utilities with minimal ground disruption

Your project requires the installation of new pipes or utilities, but you have existing infrastructure to work around.  Until recent years, most pipes and utilities were installed using trenches that required digging up the ground and potentially damaging existing infrastructure or landscaping.  Directional Boring goes underneath the ground without requiring trenches, causing only minimal surface disruption.  The use of directional boring provides a great solution since most projects involve land with existing landscaping, buildings, roads, and other surface obstacles.

What is Directional Boring?

Directional boring, also referred to as horizontal directional drilling, is the process of installing underground pipe, utilities, or conduits without majorly disturbing the ground. Known as trench-less (or "no-dig") technology, directional boring uses a directional drilling machine with a series of attachments, to drill along a chosen bore path.
